    1991 Portland Trailblazers DANNY AINGE
    signed lithograph poster print
    !!
    Please see all
    nine
photos, as they are an important part of my description. I acquired this litho at a baseball card shop liquidation here in
    Eugene, Oregon
back in the early 1990's. This
    rare
lithograph print measures approximately 23 1/2" x 18" (measured in frame) and is framed under glass with a high-grade charcoal gray metal frame. I am not an art expert, but the print appears to have been done in pencil...or charcoal, perhaps? The artist's name appears to be "A. Douglas", accompanied by a "1/91"...not sure if that connotates the month/year the litho was issued (Ainge played for the Trailblazers from 1990-92), or whether there were ninety-one produced with this example being numbered as "1" out of 91 made.
    Danny Ainge
signed the print in a large, bold and sweeping signature! This basketball poster features wonderful composition, which includes two images of Ainge (portrait and action), the official
    Portland Trailblazers
logo, and dramatic "shadow" lettering of Ainge's name. Classic and highly displayable sports art from three decades ago!!

    History
    :
    Danny Ainge
is a former NBA professional basketball player, coach, front office executive and former Major League Baseball player. He was an incredible 3-sport star in high school here in
    Eugene, Oregon
(North Eugene High School/North Eugene Highlanders) back in the mid-1970's, excelling in football, basketball and baseball. He attended
    Brigham Young University
and became a consensus All-American basketball player; his time as a
    Brigham Young Cougars
player produced one of the the best-known shots ever made in the 1981 NCAA Basketball Tournament versus Notre Dame in the Sweet Sixteen, when his coast-to-coast drive and lay-up with two seconds remaining gave BYU a one-point win. Ainge was drafted by the
    Toronto Blue Jays
and played for them from 1979-81. Ainge could have been a football star in college, if he had chosen to do so. Eventually, he chose professional basketball to be his specialty as he played and starred for the Larry Bird-led
    Boston Celtics
championship teams of the 1980's. Ainge also played for the Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns as well as coming home to the State of Oregon to play for the Trailblazers for three seasons.
